I love living and working in Bonbeach and Chelsea, it’s such a fantastic community and amazing area. I was recently at GoodYear AutoCare and could not speak highly enough of the service received. I took the opportunity to sit down with Director Alex Exposito, for my first edition of the Local Files offering my perspective on what I love about our local area.  

Here’s what Alex had to say about his story and why he loves being part of the local community…

“Goodyear AutoCare was established in Chelsea in June 2012 and we take pride in servicing and repairing all makes and models.

We offer everything you would expect and more, from re-gassing your air-conditioner, installing a new battery, to Roadworthy Certificates and lots more.

Here at Goodyear we are also an authorised RACV repair centre, we carry out pre purchase inspections and help with important things like baby seat restraint fitments.”

We love Chelsea as a location, we also enjoy dealing with great people in the local community, it’s such a fantastic area to be a part of.”

Any tips or advice for all of us motorists?

“Here’s 3 important ones for everyone to follow…

1. Inspect your car between visits to your car mechanic

Becoming familiar with your car will alert you to any problems that may arise. Don’t worry –  you don’t need to be an expert in timing belts! But inspecting the underbody, tyres and panel, and testing the lights and windscreen wipers can help maintain peace of mind and road safety between scheduled servicing with your Goodyear Autocare car mechanic.

2. Check fluid levels regularly

Fluids are vital to keeping your car running smoothly. By checking your oil, transmission and coolant levels regularly you may detect a problem before it becomes a costly repair. Always do these checks when the car is cool to avoid injury. If you’re unsure, ask your Goodyear Autocare mechanic.

3. Maintain your car’s recommended service schedule

Regular car maintenance at selected kilometre or monthly intervals, as specified by the car manufacturer, will help make sure your car is running efficiently and safely.”
